Beverly Knight represents established and emerging contemporary artists and the Estates of artists, in the development of their careers and the establishment of exhibition and commercial pathways including handling copyright and reproduction rights.

MIRDIDINGKINGATHI JUWARNDA SALLY GABORI

Beverly Knight has served as the agent for artworks by the late Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori on behalf of her Estate since 1st July 2016.

Knight represented the artist throughout her career, from 2006-2015, and subsequently with her Estate from 2016. Knight was integral to the development of the retrospective exhibition Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori: Dulka Warngiid – Land of All at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, from 21 May  – 28 August 2016, and at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne from 23 September 2016 – 29 January 2017.

Several major public art projects were achieved working collaboratively with the artist, including for the Banco Court, Brisbane Supreme Court and District Court, Brisbane, Queensland in 2011 and the Brisbane Airport International Terminal Redevelopment, Brisbane, Queensland, in 2014.

Since 2017 Knight served as a primary consultant with the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris, France, on behalf of the artist and her Estate, to develop a major survey exhibition honouring the work and legacy of Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori.

Opened in July 2022 by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, this significant and comprehensive solo exhibition paid tribute to Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori by bringing together thirty monumental paintings by the artist, accompanied by a significant publication detailing the work, career and enduring influence of one of Australia’s greatest contemporary artists. Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori is on exhibition at the prestigious Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, Paris from 3 July – 6 November 2022 and the Triennale di Milano at the Palazzo dell’Arte in Milan, from February – June 2023.

GINGER RILEY MUNDUWALAWALA

(c. 1936 – 1 September 2002)

Beverly Knight is the agent and executor of the Estate of the late Ginger Riley Munduwalawala.

Knight represented the artist across his entire painting career and holds extensive archival material and information on the artist’s oeuvre. She was instrumental in acting for Ginger Riley when he was honoured as the first Indigenous artist in Australia to have a retrospective exhibition held at the National Gallery of Victoria in 1997.
