Beverly Knight was delighted to participate in the exciting program and stand at the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (14 – 16 July 2017) at Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal, representing the Estate of Sally Gabori. As Agent for the artworks for the Estate of Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori (c. 1924 – 2015) exhibiting at CIAF has the support of the Gabori family and her Estate.
Beverly Knight Art + Business launched a new series of 5 limited edition prints to celebrate the career of the highly acclaimed artist, making her artwork images accessible to a new audience. Knight said “$850 for a limited edition print will allow many art lovers to now share the joy of Sally Gabori – perhaps collectors to give as gifts to family, and inspiring interior décor.”
Representing the artist throughout Sally Gabori’s career 2006-2015 and subsequently her Estate, Beverly Knight was proud to assist the development of the retrospective exhibition and publication Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori: Dulka Warngiid – Land of All at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, from 21 May – 28 August 2016, and at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne from 23 September 2016 – 29 January 2017 – a career highlight.
Beverly Knight Art + Business is a natural progression for Beverly Knight, also Director of Alcaston Gallery, Melbourne (1989 – current). The stand alone consultancy provides an often needed arm’s- length approach to issues and exhibitions, representing artists and the Estates of artists for career development, exhibitions and commercial pathways, including copyright and reproduction rights.
